This is a zine I put together as a resource for the Canadian Centre for Gender and Sexual Diversity (CCGSD). The zine is a short introduction to the 1990 Gay Games that took place in Vancouver from August 4-11. The Games were a large sporting event welcoming 7250 athletes from the 2SLGBTQ+ community, representing 30 countries.
The zine features many archival photos from the Gay Games. To look at the original photos, you can explore the BC Gay and Lesbian Archives Collection housed under the City of Vancouver Archives. The collection is full of great resources about 2SLGBTQ+ history across British Columbia. In this zine, images have their relevant archival reference code at the bottom so you can always go back to the original.
